In alpha. Free for as long as it stays that way.

Your money, your family’s, your business’s, never in the same pile.

Household budgeting, kept simple. If you also have freelance work or a company, they live in the same account, each in its own workspace. You import your bank statement and check it before it counts. And you can invite your partner or your accountant to any workspace.

01

What is left for me?

You open the figure up line by line and see what it came from, with the reason for every subtraction.

Left for the rest of the month

Tell the app what an account holds and this figure fills in. None of them has a balance yet, and an account nobody has filled in is not an empty one.

On self-employment and company workspaces the figure is labelled an estimate outright. It is not a distributable-profit calculation.

What you have already spent

Recurring charges still due before month end

What you planned to set aside and have not yet

What is left to spend for the rest of the month

02

How much do I set aside for tax?

Computed from your own records against the rules in force for the period. Every rate carries the period it applied to and a link to its source.

The microenterprise turnover cap

The cap sits next to the estimate, carrying the figure in force for the period being computed. Crossing it changes how the company is taxed.

The CAS bands for self-employment

CAS is charged in steps, not proportionally. The screen shows the bands and what moving up one costs: a single leu past a boundary is a fixed sum you did not owe the day before.

VAT

Your VAT return stays the only source for that figure, and the app does not invent one.

not estimated

Planning estimates, not tax advice. Confirm with ANAF or your accountant before you file or pay.

03

How are the household, the freelance work and the company doing?

Each workspace stands on its own: its own currency, its own tax regime, its own records. The currency is chosen once at setup and never changes. Nothing is converted on the way in.

Personal

Your own income, spending, savings and goals.

Self-employed

Freelance records, kept apart from personal money.

Company

A registered business, with a result of its own.

Above all of them, one consolidated view, in whichever currency you pick. Anything that had to be converted is marked as an approximation, at the day’s rate.

Your statement, checked before it counts

We do not connect to your bank. You download the statement from them and upload it here — CSV, PDF, or a ZIP of several months at once.

01

Upload the statement

One file or a whole archive. The app reads the dates, the amounts and the descriptions out of the original text.

02

See what it found

The accounts in the statement, with the ones you already have marked as such. A currency exchange is recognised as a transfer between your own accounts, not as income on one and an expense on the other.

03

You confirm

You read the rows, change what is wrong, and only then press. What you do not confirm does not go in.

Nothing reaches your money until you press the button.

What it looks like, before you sign up

Real screenshots of the app, taken on the demo data. You can sign in with them too. It runs in a browser, on a phone and on a desktop; the Windows, macOS, iOS and Android apps download below as they arrive.

See what you actually have left

Every workspace on one screen: what you hold, what came in, what went out, and what needs you. Each figure says what it was worked out from.

Every movement in one place

Income, spending, repayments and savings, each under its own category.

Understand the tax before it becomes a surprise

See what the estimate is made of, and on what base. Indicative figures — the filing stays with your accountant.

A statement only counts once you have checked it

You pick the file — CSV, PDF, or a ZIP of several — look over what it found, and only then press. What you do not confirm does not go in.

The same books, on your phone

Add an expense on the move and find it on the laptop that evening.

What it does not do

For your accountant

The month’s list, read off the records you entered, plus whatever you add to it yourself. FinCosmos does not know which documents your regime requires, and never will. Your accountant decides what is needed.

  • It does not keep your accounts and produces no official document. This is a cockpit, not accounting software.

  • It does not issue invoices, and it replaces neither your invoicing software, nor your accountant, nor an ERP.

  • It does not connect to your bank. Records arrive by hand, by recurring template, or from a statement you upload — CSV, PDF, or a ZIP of several — and confirm before any of it reaches your money.

  • No number on screen comes from a model. Tax, what is left for the month and thresholds are arithmetic over your own records. A model may optionally guess what a statement’s columns mean at import, and nothing it suggests enters your records until you press the button.

Start with the household budget

Create an account

No card. No connection to your bank. Free while it is in alpha, and you can delete the account yourself from Settings.

Your money, in one place, without mixing it up

A spreadsheet you keep the count in, and a tax figure worked out from memory. Those two it replaces. The statement still comes from your bank — but here you check it before it counts.

Household, freelance and company stay separate

  • Personal, Family, PFA and Company workspaces
  • Income, expenses, savings and debt tracking
  • Recurring records with pause and end dates
  • Custom categories, auto-filled from past records
  • Per-workspace currency with daily ECB rates

You know what is coming before it arrives

  • Savings goals and emergency fund
  • Cashflow chart, category rollup and an editable list of records
  • Consolidated overview across workspaces
  • Tax reserve estimated from your own records. Romania is checked by us; the other ten countries are documented but unverified
  • What is left this month, and what you could take out
  • Financial health score and attention list

Your records go in easily and stay yours

  • Import a bank statement: CSV, PDF, or a ZIP of a whole year
  • Download everything in your account as a file
  • Sharing a workspace with a partner or accountant
  • Self-service account deletion

What FinCosmos is — and what it is not

Who it is for

One account keeps your household budget, your freelance (PFA) books and your company apart — and shows what is left for you across all of them. The tax estimates are built for Romania.

What it does

A single view of your money, budgeting and savings goals, PFA and company tax estimates with a reserve to set aside, import from bank statements, and workspaces you can share with your accountant.

What it is not

It is not accounting software and it files nothing with ANAF. Tax figures are planning estimates, not advice — confirm with your accountant before you act. It does not replace SmartBill or your accountant; it gives you the picture between them.
